We had to write a scene for my playwriting class. One character had to be based off of us, and the other based off of a shoe we were given. I was given a slipper. Here is my scene.

I am taking a playwriting class right now, and we had to create a character and then write a monologue for them.

My character is Ayden (with a y, because his mother didn't know how to spell Aidan and did it phonetically), a scrawny 13 year old boy who was raised by his mother, but his mother recently abandoned him. He currently lives with his older sister, who is strapped for money. The professor gave us the given circumstances of the characters being trapped under rubble in Haiti AFTER we created the character.

A/N: This timeline for this is confusing, because it takes place both in the spring after The Crucible's out-of-town try-outs and in the fall just before the tryouts.
